Well I'm not surprised if you're surprised. This is without a doubt the boldest, riskiest, raunchiest column that has ever graced the pages of The Times-Delphic. It's the kind of column you hope your professors don't notice you're reading. It's the kind of column you do hope that painfully attractive soccer player sitting next to you notices you're reading.

That is what Jennifer's column is here for.

Dear Vermillion,
Four months ago I left you. It was sudden, brash and all I wanted was my freedom. I packed all of my stuff into my car and took off speeding down the interstate. Honestly, I regret that I never talked to you, left you a note; heck, I never even took the time to change our Facebook status.

I quietly watched as the crowd began making their way into the Nebraska Room of the Milo Bail Student Center Wednesday night chatting animatedly with one another. It seemed as if each group was more excited than the next.
The crowd was a completely random mixture of student, staff and community members, yet they all filed into the room for the same purpose.

So dear readers, I will begin with the confession that I am not a doctor … yet. I am however a self confessed expert on the heart.
Having said that, I will not attempt to diagnose your existing case of mitrovalve prolapse or prescribe drugs to alleviate congestion of any sort.

Dr. Daniel J. Levitin is not like most of his fellow neuroscientists. Non sequitur: a Latin phrase meaning "it does not follow." As in, "The average comedy churning out of Hollywood these days 'does not follow' any semblance of a coherent plot or narrative." And there's really only one man to blame for it: Will Ferrell.

It takes guts to handle fire. For ceramists in the raku field, immersing themselves in flames, smoke, and 2,000-degree-Fahrenheit temperatures is an essential process of their art. For raku artists Michael Lancaster and Barbara Harnack, it's an essential part of their marriage.
